Meet Our Crew

Everyday people, leading together.

Parry Sound Community Church is led primarily by volunteers and supported by a small team of part-time staff, working together in a spirit of mutual care and accountability. While we do have leadership roles and structures, our desire is to be a community where everyone is empowered to use their unique gifts to serve and strengthen the whole church. The people listed below represent just a small glimpse of the many incredible individuals whose time, energy, and heart help make PSCC the vibrant community it is.

She has a glass of iced coffee topped with whipped cream in front of her, and she is holding a glass of water. On the table, there is a spoon, a small saucer, and a basket with sugar packets. The cafe has large windows with reflections of buildings outside and decorative white molding on the wall.

MINISTRY LEAD

AMANDA SHAW

Amanda Shaw has a deep passion for seeing people encounter Jesus and grow in authentic community. Since stepping into the role of Ministry Lead at Parry Sound Community Church (PSCC) in 2022, she has provided leadership and direction to the Board, Ministry Coordinators, and Home Church leaders — building into their growth and development while overseeing the full scope of PSCC’s ministry.

Amanda’s leadership is shaped by a conviction that the church thrives when every person is empowered to use their God-given gifts, and her leadership reflects a deep commitment to equipping and releasing people into the roles they were made for.

Outside of ministry, you’ll likely find Amanda out on the Georgian Bay or tracking down the best scoop of ice cream in Parry Sound.

VOLUNTEER LEADERS

PSCC BOARD

The PSCC Board is a team of dedicated volunteers who carry the responsibility of governing our church — ensuring that PSCC is legally sound, financially healthy, and organizationally strong. Shaped by Jesus’ example of humble, servant leadership, the Board understands that good governance is itself an act of faithful service to God and to our community. Working within the requirements of Canada’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, they tend to the structures and accountability that allow our community to thrive with integrity. While much of their work happens behind the scenes, it is the Board’s faithful stewardship — offered to God and on behalf of our church — that gives PSCC the stable foundation from which ministry, relationship, and mission can flourish.

The woman on the right has curly gray hair, wearing glasses and a pink shirt, also with a bowl of soup and salad. There are soda cans, utensils, and additional bowls of soup and salad on the table. HOME CHURCH LEADERS

Home Church Leaders are the shepherds of PSCC’s smaller, mid-week communities — the places where life really happens. Trusting that God meets us in the midst of ordinary life, these gatherings are where people share meals, pray together, walk through hard seasons, and grow in faith side by side. These volunteer leaders create the conditions for genuine belonging and deep discipleship, making the life of the church personal, relational, and rooted in the love of God. They are a vital and beloved part of PSCC’s leadership, carrying the heartbeat of their communities and bringing the voice of those communities into the wider life of the church.

CONGREGATIONAL LEADERSHIP TEAM

The CLT is where PSCC’s leadership comes together. Drawing from the Board, Home Church Leaders, ministry coordinators, and staff, the CLT reflects our deep conviction that God speaks through many voices. Together, this team gathers to pray, listen, and discern the Holy Spirit’s leading — trusting that as we seek God with open hands and humble hearts, He will guide us faithfully. It is through this shared discernment that the CLT shapes the annual Ministry Strategy that gives direction to everything we do as a church. The CLT is a beautiful expression of how PSCC seeks to lead: not from the top down, but collectively, with humility and a shared commitment to following Jesus together.
